Who is The Messy Artist?
How It All Started
On August 7th, 2020, a young artist decided that she should open up her first small business during a global pandemic was her best idea yet.. and honestly it was!
My name is Zoe and I have always enjoyed creating pieces of art whether it be drawing, painting, or getting mixed up in mediums like plaster, jesmonite and resin. I was a creative person ever since I came into the world and eventually I grew confident enough to want to share my art. In 2018, I graduated with a bachelors degree in Communication with a concentration in digital art and media. My love for photography and filming began to grow the more I had a camera in my hands. I had no idea I would use those skills for a business of my own.
After three years of research, brainstorming, and creating, I finally opened up my Etsy shop. Its been a hit so far and I continue to push forward to design more amazing products! Since I started, I have grown a following as well as inspired others to open up their own small businesses. I take commission and freelance work as well! I hope to continue to grow both as an artist and as a business owner.

These are a couple of visuals from the Hannah Moon Candle Co. 2021 Holiday project. Several product photos of the new holiday scented candles were taken. On top of that, I also filmed two videos for their TikTok account to promote their goat milk soap. You can find all of the visuals on the Hannah Moon Candle Co's Instagram and TikTok.

Creating Visuals and Shooting Photos for The Naughty Brunette
Megan, from The Naughty Brunette, and I have been actively working together creating her skincare brand. From the color scheme to the fonts to the visual art to the product labels, I have given Megan the tools to promote and sell her products. I am Megan's creative director in charge of bringing her ideas to life. The visuals below showcase the first photoshoot of her products as well as some of the concept art for the brand.
